MED TECH GENERALISTS
National Medical Technologist Certification, 1YR EXP REQ

LOCATION: Olympia,WA
FACILITY: 150+ bed Acute Care Hospital
SALARY: $32.33—$52.19/hr + $10K SIGN-ON

DESCRIPTION:
1 evening and 1 night shift available.  These are 10 hr shifts.
 ​​​​​​​Responsible for professional Medical Technologist bench duties within the laboratory

• The position performs routine and complex tests or analyses in any of these potential sections (as assigned): Hematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, Chemistry, Toxicology, Microbiology, Molecular, Mycology, Immunohematology, LIS and Lean.
• The position has responsibility for planning, performing and evaluating laboratory testing analysis; and establishing and/or maintaining communications with physicians, patients, other hospital personnel, professional associations, and other organizations.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
 

• Bachelor's Degree in related life science.

• Successful completion of an accredited School of Medical Technology.
• One (1) year experience in a clinical Lab setting.
• Proficiency in at least 3 of the listed sections in Position Summary.
• National Medical Technologist
  • American Society for Clinical Pathology upon hire; or
  • American Medical Technologists upon hire; or
  • American Association of Bioanalysts upon hire; or
  • American Society for Clinical Pathology upon hire; or
• National Clinical Laboratory Scientist - American Society for Clinical Pathology upon hire; or
• National Laboratory Tech - United States Government upon hire.
