HOSPITAL FACILITIES ENGINEERING MANAGER 
 
LOCATION: Portland, OR

FACILITY:  450 bed acute care hospital
 
DESCRIPTION:
 
Day shift, Monday - Friday position, however, 24/7 on call phone availability is required. 
  • 32 FTEs assigned to the Facilities Engineering department that consist of engineers, carpenters, painters, 2 maintenance planners, and 1 construction project coordinator.
  • Will manage 14 million dollar budget
  • Team does a lot of work in house don’t rely on contractors including with construction projects
  • Position will work extremely close with the Project Coordinator that reports up on various projects
  • Campus is roughly 9 acres in size
 
 
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering -or a related field -or- equivalent education/experience
    Must have at least 5 years of experience in the following areas:
  • Management/supervisory experience in plant operations, maintenance and project management in medical center or hospital setting with history of progressive responsibility
  • Safety programs related to maintenance and plant operations or similar environments
  • Fire Safety programs
  • Emergency response processes
  • Power quality management
  • Large scale ($1,000,000+) repair and replacement projects
  • Maintenance and construction services contracts
  • Energy efficiency and utility resources
  • Quality improvement processes
  • Joint Commission and Center for Medicare Services (CMS) compliance and survey processes
  • Apprenticeship & training programs for maintenance and plant operations

SALARY:
$43.06 – $52.00 / HR + BONUS
